Design

As a designer, I’ve had the pleasure of creating brand identity, product development and design assets for various companies. From grassroot businesses to major book publishers, I’m always grateful for the opportunity to produce high-quality work every time. Featured below is design work I did for Underknown, WE Charity and Somn Home.

SÖMN SPONGE CLOTH

I was given the opportunity to take over the product design and production of Sömn’s sponge cloth line. In the early development of the sponge cloths, I researched colours and patterns that were innovative and relevant in current design spaces. I wanted to use fresh, playful colours that would be readable in print while keeping in mind the change in tint when the cloth is damp. After multiple design iterations with our team, I was able to produce and shoot the cloths that would be sold online and at storefront of Örling & Wu.

SÖMN LINEN CATALOG

Working with the existing branding of Örling & Wu’s sister brand (Sömn Home), I created a catalog of products for potential clients and wholesale. All of the photographs were taken in North Vancouver, where the brand is based and operated out of. We focused on carrying out a natural, clean element throughout the design and photography that communicates a message of sustainability. The catalog was distributed at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair NYC.

Deck cover design for OceanX.

The content included a map of Indonesia and potential filming locations and features.

I wanted to showcase OceanX’s beautiful craftsmanship, like their infamous Oceanxplorer.

Oceanx deck

OceanX reached out for some help designing a pitch deck for networks interested in an expedition to Indonesia. I used the deck to highlight OceanX’s tools and technology, showcasing their beautiful craftsmanship with full-page spread images. I made web and print friendly versions of the deck for seamless distribution. The deck was presented at the World Congress of Science & Factual Producers in December 2023.

Social Media Design

I’ve accumulated over 4 years of experience working with different brands to build their social media presence. Whether it’s creating a bespoke tutorial or a motion carousel series, I always strive to bring a fresh perspective to every post to increase engagement. Each post above is linked to their original post or website.

Deck cover designs for Underknown Studios.

UNDERKNOWN studio PITCH DECKS

In preparation of MIPCON in Cannes, I helped design 6 show decks for our Studio team to pitch. Working with the Studio team and our in-house design team, I helped developing the branding of each show, designing pages, typesetting and making web/print friendly versions of every deck. I helped design digital and print versions of each deck.

Branding and logos for Underknown’s shows hosted on Snapchat/Youtube/Facebook.

underknown Show branding

As a Digital Designer at Underknown, I was able to help create the branding and brand guidelines for new social media shows that would connect and educate a younger audience. I also helped design MOGRTS and thumbnail templates to support our art and video departments. In less than a year of conception, the shows have amassed 500k+ followed across Youtube and Snapchat alone.

Education+ newsletters

After completing my Google certificate in UX/UI, I was introduced to Figma and started exploring ways to integrate it into my toolbelt. When I started to work with Education+, I built their web and mobile friendly newsletters with Figma and Zeplin. I work with the art director to create accessible and web-safe newsletters to share resources with teachers and students.
