OceanX animated Explainer shorts

When I began freelancing full-time, OceanX reached out for me to illustrate and animate their shorts on Youtube, Instagram and TikTok. They wanted to break into the short-form content arena with appealing and fun animations. We built a workflow that worked for us— the producer would share a script and ideas for each scene, I would draft out a storyboard, and with a few edits I would fully illustrate and animate each scene. For every video, I made sure to design the videos within the safe areas across platforms and keep informed on any updates to the reel format. We created 15 original animations together in the year. After the first 10 animations, their overall followers increased by 43% across all platforms. I continue to collaborate and work with OceanX on animated shorts. Through working with OceanX, I also was able to create decks for their exploration team, print material and animations for a feature-length documentary on the Great Sea Bass with Anacapa Productions.
